“Vrouva Farm”, a shelter in Aegina dedicated to the care and protection of domestic animals, is pleased to announce its second Spring Festival, which will take place on April 4 and 5, 2025, at the magnificent “Pyrgos Ralli” estate in Aegina (www.pyrgosralli.gr), under the auspices of the Municipality of Aegina. This two-day event will celebrate the connection between humans and the animals that share their lives with us. The purpose of the festival is to get to know our Farm, raise awareness of all domestic animals and raise funds for the difficult work carried out at “Vrouva Farm”. And of course, let’s all have a good time! An opportunity for everyone to get to know the work of the Farm, and for a walk in Aegina for Athenians!
The Spring Festival will feature a variety of activities, workshops and entertainment for all ages, themed around domestic animals to highlight the mission of “Vrouva Farm” which is to promote animal welfare and inspire community involvement.
For admission to the Spring Festival we suggest a donation of €2 per person or €5 per family, with all proceeds directly supporting Vrouva Farm.

A FEW WORDS ABOUT VROUVA FARM
“Vrouva” was born in 2011, when some animal lovers decided to transform a piece of privately owned land in Mesagros, Aegina into an animal sanctuary. It is a small farm, for animals rescued from conditions of neglect, malnutrition and abuse, which survives thanks to an international community of dedicated animal lovers, some of whom live in Aegina and regularly volunteer at the farm. The maintenance of the Sanctuary depends on the kind contributions of friends from all over the world. Today, “Vrouva” is home to over 100 domestic animals. We try to find new families for the few of our animals that are adoptable and we ensure that the others live a better life with us on the farm. At the same time, our goal is to raise awareness in the community about animal rights and to set an example of how we can live in harmony with the natural world.
