In addition, it provides mandatory verification of the server’s identity and optional verification of the client’s identity, through valid certificates by trustworthy Certificate Authorities. SSL is a global Internet standard and provides encrypted SSL communication, which is based on a symmetric and asymmetric encryption key. The specific key is stored at the consortium’s servers accessible only by specified System Administrators.
